Each session was very useful and effective in reducing issues of stress and headaches.
Left sessions feeling energised and restored; sometimes tired due to the relaxation process but always refreshed. Would recommend to anyone!
I have suffered with a frozen shoulder for two years and have tied cortisone injections also physiotherapy which unfortunately didn’t help. It was amazing after just one treatment my shoulder had mobility! I had further treatments to keep the problem shoulder at bay and also to relax my anxiety. The treatment is the most relaxing, de-stressing period of time you will ever have, plus the benefits of healing mental health as well as physical health. I would certainly recommend my now very dear friend Suzanne to everyone.
Suzanne did a first-class job in helping relax me and alleviate a lot of stress and tension. I also had problems with my neck and shoulder which she helped ease with her techniques. She is very professional without making things look too clinical. Her room has a relaxing aura with essences and tranquil decor. Suzanne puts me at ease and I left each treatment refreshed and energised. I would recommend her to anyone who needs stress therapy or indeed to help with any ailment.
All in all, I was very happy with the treatment and attention I received. 5 Stars 😊.
As I began my treatments, Suzanne explained the theory of reflexology as I had never experienced the treatments and had no knowledge of the procedures. As a 74 year old, I had a few ailments and medications consistent with advancing years. Suzanne concentrated on certain areas of my feet and explained where the problem areas were and what I might experience post-treatment. She was never wrong. As the treatments progressed I took advantage of a feeling of relaxation and my sleeping pattern changed from fairly good to very good. I generally felt more relaxed and being a single elderly person, I also felt I dealt with stressful tasks more easily.
The reflexology sessions have been amazing with Suzanne. She always greets me with a big smile and in a lovely friendly and professional manner and takes time to ensure I am comfortable and settled. She creates a safe and friendly atmosphere, where I am able to relax and let go. My feet are often aching when I arrive with pains, and with her magical fingers she finds the pain and clears them. Her sessions are deeply healing and amazing. Her medical knowledge is brilliant and insightful and an attribute to her abilities. I have had eight sessions with Suzanne and continue to plan to have more, as each time, with her kindness and magical fingers, I am able to release and heal. At the end of every session my eyes, face and being look younger. I always leave with a big smile on my face. 😊
My first reflexology treatment I was nervous as I had never had one before and didn’t know what to expect but Suzanne was very patient with me and gentle, she pointed out areas straight away where she could tell I had been having problems and what could be causing them, she made me feel very relaxed and at ease the whole time then by the end of it I felt as light as a feather! I couldn’t wait for my next session! For my second treatment I had an idea of what to expect but I was still a bit tense but Suzanne helped me relax and chilled out. It definitely helped me with what was going on and she helped me figure out why I was feeling pain or unease in different parts of my body and how to stop it or at least make it more bearable and they worked! The reflexology was mind opening and made me feel chilled so I will definitely be going back to Suzanne again!
I have always wanted to try reflexology, as I come from a family who swears by it, as a method of relief for a number of different ailments, from relief from tinnitus, vertigo, arthritis, back problems to stress and difficulty sleeping.
Reflexology has been used around the world for 1000s of years. It has gained much respect in the western world in more recent years, and is often used to ease discomfort of arthritis, side effects from chemotherapy, improving the immune system, and to relieve symptoms of stress and anxiety, just to mention a few.
I was slightly apprehensive about going. This was mainly about feeling a bit uncomfortable with the thought of having to have my feet examined and touched by an unfamiliar person. I needed not have worried! The minute I met Suzanne, who owns Lakeside Therapies, my apprehension disappeared. With her warm and friendly personality, Suzanne put me at ease straight away. The room in which the reflexology takes place in is a lovely, warm and bright room. Suzanne initially explored my medical history, to ensure that i did not suffer from any complaints which would require me to have checked with my GP that it was ok for me to have reflexology. Suzanne was extremely thorough in explaining what she would be doing, and what I should expect to feel during the session and subsequently after the treatment had finished.
Suzanne worked for the NHS for many years before opening her own therapy centre. Her medical knowledge is sound and extensive.
I was looking to try reflexology to help me relax. As with any therapies, or medication for that matter, repeated treatments are often required to experience lasting benefit.
During the session, I lay on a very comfortable treatment bed, whilst Suzanne gently applied pressure on the relevant part of my feet. It was fascinating how Suzanne could apply pressure on certain parts of my feet and I would feel it in the body part that particular part of the foot corresponds to, It turns out that our feet reveal areas of our body where we feel pain and discomfort. Suzanne happily explained everything she did and answered all my many questions! It is however also wonderful just to lie in silence and experience the feeling of wellness, the stimulation of the zones in the feet bring,
The session came to a close. I felt ever so slightly light headed, but the overriding feelings were that of being relaxed and a general sense of wellbeing. To add to that, I slept wonderfully that evening, which is another blessed knock on effect of reflexology. What a bonus!
If you, as I had, ever considered reflexology, I would highly recommend giving Suzanne a call, she will be more than happy to discuss what you are seeking relief from. The list of what reflexology can benefit is extensive, so it's more than likely that Suzanne can help. With Suzanne you are in safe and very capable hands. Suzanne's warm and caring nature makes the experience very enjoyable.

“As we highlight these 30 businesses on the run up to Small Business Saturday on 7 December, I would encourage everyone that it’s only supporting them with our spending that we can maintain such an asset to our town.”
