Reflexology

What is Reflexology?

Reflexology is gentle, non-invasive and is very relaxing. It can help ease the aches and pains of the joints and muscles, relieve many issues, such as headaches, toothaches and earaches, and generally improves the functioning of the major systems of the body. It's a great stress reliever. Stress is at the root of many illnesses, so reflexology works in a preventative way too, as potential issues can be found before they have a chance to fully develop.

Reflexology is like an MOT for your physical and mental health.

Who can have reflexology?

It is generally suitable for everyone, from newborns to the elderly.

Please read the important information section at the bottom as sometimes reflexology may not be suitable for you.

It will prevent any frustration or disappointment when booking a treatment and turning up, only to find I cannot help you. There is nothing worse than a wasted trip!

How is my reflexology different to others?

All therapists have their own style, but I noticed that after having had reflexology myself from several different therapists, the focus tends to be on it being a quiet time with very little communication during the session and a chat at the end.  I tend to do things a little differently!

I use the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Five Elements, so my treatments start with a foot reading - your feet "talk" so I basically interpret what they are saying. They show what is happening both on a physical and emotional level. This helps me to pinpoint the areas where you need it most, so you get the best possible treatment. Quite a lot of my clients prefer to talk about the issues that come up, so a session becomes truly holistic as it deals with the mind- your thoughts and talking through what comes up, the body - the physical aches/pains/niggles, and the spirit - the emotional aspect.

The end result, feeling calmer, more peaceful and more positive.

Of course, you aren't obliged to talk if you don't want to. It's your session so it's completely up to you if you prefer to zone out instead.

There are several types of Reflexology that I offer :

Foot Reflexology

This is the traditional form of Reflexology where we work on specific points of the feet which are linked to different areas of the body. It is often used for relaxation, stress relief and wellbeing support

Hand Reflexology

An alternative option if you are squeamish about feet! This works the same way except it is on your hands. It is useful if you prefer a lighter treatment or a shorter session

Ear Reflexology

This works with the reflex points on the ear and can be used on its own or alongside other therapies

Pregnancy Reflexology

This is a tailored treatment adapted for pregnancy with the focus on relaxation, comfort and supporting wellbeing

Fertility Reflexology

This is a specialised approach with specific techniques designed to support you in your fertility journey. It can be used as a stand alone treatment or alongside clinical care (IVF etc.)

Reflexology for Babies and Children

Reflexology isn't just for adults. Gentle, age appropriate techniques can be adapted for babies and children, with sessions tailored to their individual needs

Reflexology for Teenagers

The teenage years can bring significant physical, emotional and lifestyle changes.

Reflexology offers a dedicated time to relax, switch off, and support overall wellbeing during what can often be a busy and demanding stage of life. Treatments are adapted to the individuals age, needs and preferences

Aroma - Reflex

This type of reflexology incorporates carefully selected essential oils to enhance relaxation and overall sensory experience

Ear Seeds

Small beads which are applied to specific points on the ear and can be used to support relaxation and well being between appointments.

They are often incorporated into reflexology sessions where appropriate.

Taster Sessions

If you've never had reflexology before and want to try a shorter taster session, then please get in touch for a chat.

I can also do taster sessions for small groups upon request.

Online Reflexology

If you're unable to come to me for an actual reflexology session, then here's the next best thing.

All you need to do is send me photos of your feet, so the tops, soles, inner sides and outer sides. From this, I'll be able to see aspects of your personality, as well as some of the issues you may be experencing on a mental, emotional or physical level.  There may also be suggestions on some diet and lifestyle tweaks, as well as a personalised routine for you to do on yourself.  Please allow several days for your report to be sent back to you. The cost is £35.00

Sound Therapy

Sound therapy uses Solfeggio frequencies to promote physical, mental, and emotional healing. Solfeggio frequencies are a set of ancient musical tones that have been used in various religious and spiritual traditions. The Solfeggio frequencies are a series of nine tones, each associated with specific healing properties to influence and harmonise the body’s energy flow. Each frequency resonates with a specific chakra, promoting balance and healing.

Lymphatic Drainage

What is lymphatic drainage?

Lymphatic Drainage is a gentle, hands-on therapy that supports your lymphatic system which is essential for immune health and detoxification. It helps move lymph fluid, clear out toxins, reduce swelling, and boost overall well-being.

How It Works

I always start the session with foot reflexology as this helps me to map the lymph flow, support circulation, and activate your parasympathetic nervous system before moving into the manual full body treatment. The combination of both reflexology and manual drainage using soft, rhythmic strokes and light pressure stimulates your lymphatic system to encourage natural drainage. It’s a calming, personalised treatment that supports detox and reduces fluid retention.

Benefits

  • Reduces swelling and puffiness

  • Supports detox and immune health

  • Eases chronic conditions like fibromyalgia and fatigue

  • Helps post-surgery or injury recovery

  • Promotes clearer skin and deep relaxation

What to Expect

You'll lie comfortably in light clothing while I use gentle movements to support your lymph flow.

This is a very light, slow treatment. Most people find it deeply relaxing and some fall asleep during the session. It is not painful and does not involve deep pressure.

Sessions last around 60- 90 minutes and leave many clients feeling lighter, calmer, and refreshed.

Is It for You?

Lymphatic Drainage is ideal if you're looking to reduce inflammation, support recovery, or simply feel more balanced and well.

I also work with clients post-surgery and alongside cancer treatment / support where appropriate and in line with individual circumstances and medical guidance. If you are unsure, we can always discuss suitability before booking.

Chinese Nutritional Therapy

Chinese Nutritional Therapy is a different way of looking at food and diet. The mind and body are linked so this therapy also looks at you as a whole person, rather than just looking at calorie content and what we consider to be healthy foods. It includes “food energetics”, which is the energy a food has according to its flavour and also whether it is warming or cooling in nature. We need a balance of all these to be healthy and as every body is different, we all have our own unique needs and requirements to attain our own optimum balance.

You won’t have to go out of your way to try and find weird and exotic foods - it’s just normal everyday foods that you can find in the supermarket, but the right combination for you. You may find that some foods known to be healthy may not suit you and may in fact be causing problems for you.

This therapy is usually part of your standard treatment session.

How I use it :

I often incorporate a chat around nutrition and lifestyle into your treatments where appropriate as I believe that wellbeing is influenced by many different factors. Food, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep, and daily habits can all play a part.

Chinese Nutritional Therapy can also be booked as a stand alone consultation if you would like to have more focused support around nutrition and lifestyle.

E.F.T.

E.F.T. - Emotional Freedom Technique

What is EFT?
Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a great self-help tool which helps to clear physical and emotional blocks in your life. It is an effective way of helping you to deal with things that have caused stress, anxiety or trauma without having to talk through and re-live painful events.

How does EFT work?
It is really simple to do and it enables you to release the emotional charge that is associated with your situation. It works on the principle of meridians. These are the energy channels which run along the body, and is part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Instead of using needles to balance the energy like acupuncture, we tap on the meridians instead at specific points along the meridians using the fingers. It looks strange but it really does have a lot of benefits.

What can EFT help with?
EFT can help with all kinds of things, mainly anxiety, stress, anger and things we are scared of. It can also help us with physical symptoms, like back ache, PMS, stomach ache, and emotional issues such as confidence building, cravings, and so on.

Who can have EFT?
Anyone can have an EFT session, even children. There are no side-effects and it does not interfere with any medication you may be taking, or anything like that.

As with any therapy, the best way to see if it works for you is to try it and see.

Access Consciousness Bars ®

What is Access Consciousness Bars ®?

Access Bars is a very gentle and relaxing therapy. The Bars correspond to 32 points on the head which are touched lightly in sequence and held for several minutes each. Each of these points relates to areas of our life, such as creativity, joy, communication, ageing, control, awareness, and so on.

When you have your Bars run, it enables you to feel really calm and relaxed. This changes the electromagnetic charge which releases any blockages you may have in relation to the particular point(s) being touched. It’s a bit like running a defragmentation programme on your computer. It clears out old files and moves things around so that the computer runs more efficiently.

Our old files could be things like judgments, or limiting beliefs, and these tend to keep us stuck. With the Bars, these can be improved and often removed which then creates space for you to being more open and receptive to other possibilities and more happiness in your life.

The changes can be subtle but they are profound.

The whole concept of having these points touched on your head and you no longer feel how you did before seems very weird, but it really works.

The best way to find out is to have a Bars session yourself and see what it can do for you.

Here are some of the benefits of Bars:

* Calming the chatter in the mind, improving mental clarity

* Deeper relaxation and better sleep

* Feeling calmer and more peaceful

* Increased energy levels

* Reduced stress and anxiety

* Feeling happier

* Reduced physical aches and pains in the body

* Helps shift negative thought patterns and limiting beliefs

Chakra Fusion

The Chakra fusion treatment is a combination of four different therapies, reflexology, aromatherapy, sound therapy and energy therapy, which enable you to enter a state of deep relaxation.

Chakras are energy centres in the body that go from the base of the spine to the top of the head. There are seven main ones, and when imbalanced can produce mental and physical issues. Seven of the Solfeggio sound frequencies correlate to each chakra so help them to rebalance. They also correlate to the endocrine system in the body.  The energy therapy is similar to Reiki, so it's very relaxing. With reflexology and aromatherapy relating to the senses of touch and smell, all this added together gives you a unique well-being experience.
